Wayne Gould is a second-generation utility engineer and energy industry consultant. He has accumulated over 40 years of experience in all operational areas and at all management levels of the utility industry.
Wayne has held several executive positions at Puget Sound Energy (PSE), the Sunlaw Energy Corporation, the El Paso Merchant Energy Company, and the Southern California Edison Company. At these companies, Wayne led an independent power company through the California Energy Crisis, managed over 400 (5,000 MW) of 3rd Party power producer contracts ($2-3 Billion/year), and negotiated several major agreements including: Canadian natural gas supply and transportation, domestic coal supply, nuclear project ownership, and inter-utility power purchase agreements.
Immediately prior to establishing his consulting practice, Wayne managed PSE’s Service Provider, Thermal Generation, Natural Gas Resources, Supply Chain Management, Corporate Contracting, Contractor Management, Facilities, Fleet, Internal Audit, Privacy, and Ethics & Compliance organizations.
Wayne has served on several industry boards, including the Northwest Gas Association, the Solar Energy Industries Association, the American Wind Energy Association, EPRI’s Technology Transfer, and NREL’s Enterprise Growth Forum.
